A supplier of back-office services

The basis for this partnership was a 10 year contract, which could be extended by a further 5 years, providing the contractor met all their contractual obligations. Creating an effective partnership was a critical part of our brief. The process consisted of many stages, including, identifying the key personnel of the supplier, working through the procurement process with openness, creating trust through sharing of data and business imperatives, organising team building sessions, dealing with short-term issues when differences of opinion arose (open book being an example). The work involved as much persuasion of the client to adjust their approaches as it did the contractor.
