Specialised design/research facilities

This research was undertaken for a highly specialised engineering company, engaged in the shipbuilding industry. On one major contract they required design/research facilities that were capable of supporting innovative design solutions for a modern fleet of vessels. The in-house capability lacked adequate resources, investment in the latest IT design software and the flexibility to respond to changing customer specifications. The research had to undertaken in circumstances of extreme confidentiality to preserve our client’s intellectual property. Included in the research we undertook was the need for financial due diligence, including identifying the key investors.

A contract was agreed, following extensive negotiations, with a UK based organisation. We led the negotiations with a client team consisting of procurement, legal and technical experts.
