South Korean Public Procurement Service

Friday, September 19th, 2014

We typically keep our heads down rather than highlighting who we are working with. Confidentiality on commercial matters underpins our approach to business.

On this occasion we thought our involvement with the South Koreans on specialist business practices would be of some interest.  This follows a previous engagement with the South Korean Embassy in London.  The current delegation from the Public Procurement Service was briefed on European procurement initiatives, which is a specialist area that we advise UK central government and local authorities (as well as bidders, where there is no conflict of interest).

We do – quietly – continue to build on our rich heritage of  international work  – Dr Farrington’s reputation as author of the UK’s most popular text on purchasing and supply, which is also published in a number of foreign languages including Chinese and Russian is often a catalyst for discussions.  A recent assignment, for example with an international investment bank involved our team working at client sites in New York, Frankfurt, Singapore, London and Moscow.

The photograph shows (a very smiley) Ray Gambell with some members of the South Korean delegation.

Why Brian Farrington?

There are three themes that clients tell us over and over again.

First, they tell us they believe they are making a smarter investment working with Brian Farrington Ltd — bringing a thorough understanding of their procurement and supply chain issues and a proven track record of enabling excellent returns on their investment.

Second, our clients are confident that they are working with specialists that bring experience, expertise and stay focused on client success; not on our next income target.

Finally, people –people just like you – tell us they actually like working with us. They find us easy to work with and collaborative in solving issues that inevitably arise in procurement.
